Abstract

Academic integrity is entering a new era shaped by the encounter between two worlds: the enduring traditions of human knowledge and the transformative power of artificial intelligence. As universities, teachers, researchers, and students navigate this rapidly evolving landscape, fundamental questions emerge about authorship, responsibility, critical thinking, creativity, and trust. The challenge is no longer simply technological. It is deeply ethical and educational. This book argues that the central issue is not “humanity versus AI,” but rather how both can be reconciled with integrity. Far from opposing innovation, it explores how academic values can be redefined and strengthened in a world where human intelligence and artificial intelligence increasingly coexist. Reinventing academic integrity means building new frameworks of responsibility, transparency, and ethical scholarship for the future of education and research.
