Next-Gen AI and Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Development 2026
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies are reshaping the boundaries of human knowledge, industrial innovation, and societal progress. From intelligent automation and data-driven decision-making to precision healthcare and sustainable resource management, AI is transforming every aspect of life. Yet, as innovation accelerates, it raises critical questions about ethics, inclusivity, and sustainability.
Aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), AI is not just a technological tool—it is a strategic enabler for addressing complex global challenges, from climate change and energy efficiency to equitable access to education and healthcare. The responsible integration of AI and other emerging technologies—such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Quantum Computing, and Extended Reality (XR)—is essential to ensure that digital transformation remains human-centric and grounded in sustainable development principles.
To explore these transformative developments, the Department of Computer Science, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, in collaboration with IQAC, Holy Cross College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, the Department of Computer Science, Bhopal School of Social Sciences, Bhopal, and Globethics, South Asia Centre, is organizing the International Conference on Next-Gen AI and Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Development (IC-AIETS 2025) on 8–9 January 2025.
This two-day global academic forum will bring together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, policymakers, and innovators to exchange knowledge, showcase research, and explore how AI and emerging technologies can advance sustainability goals. The conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, paper presentations, and workshops on technological breakthroughs, ethical AI design, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Through this platform, IC-AIETS 2025 aims to foster a global dialogue on responsible innovation, ethical AI governance, and inclusive digital empowerment—contributing to a future where technological progress harmonizes with human and environmental well-being.
