Reinventing Responsible Governance

In an increasingly interconnected and uncertain world, governance systems face unprecedented stress. From the erosion of rule-based world order, to technological upheaval and widening divides and insecurities, today’s governance systems demand more than reform—they demand reinvention. Against this backdrop, Global Ethics Forum 2025 (GEF2025) will convene at a pivotal time, guided by the theme: Reinventing Responsible Governance: Navigating Dilemmas, Power, and Purpose.

This year’s edition will bring together thought leaders, policymakers, activists, technologists, business innovators, young entrepreneurs and activists, and community voices to interrogate the ethics of power, the architecture of decision-making, and the collective responsibility to steward our shared future.

GEF2025 builds upon the insights of its 2024 edition and aims to translate principles into practice through bold, interdisciplinary, multisectoral, and multistakeholder dialogue, networking, and collaboration. GEF aims to offer a solution-oriented platform whose outcomes go beyond statements and recommendations, offering experience and co-creation opportunities for the design and experience of groundbreaking solutions.

The Global Ethics Forum programme is designed to maximise both inspiration and interaction around each thematic track: business, peace, and AI. Plenary sessions bring all participants together to hear from leading voices who will spark big-picture thinking and set the stage for the Forum’s themes. Roundtable and workshop sessions offer smaller, highly interactive spaces where everyone has the chance to speak, exchange perspectives, and work together on practical solutions. Whether you prefer listening to visionary ideas or diving into hands-on dialogue, both formats ensure that your insights and experiences contribute to shaping the outcomes.

GEF2025 concert | Pax Musica

The first evening of the forum (8 October) will conclude with a cultural moment open to all participants: a concert given by Pax Musica. Pax Musica will offer a dialogue between classical music and Armenian music, in an intercultural programme that will highlight the musical and cultural crossovers and exchanges born from the encounter.

Pax Musica is a French apolitical and non-denominational association founded in 2024 and directed by Hélène Daccord, to enable talented musicians who have found refuge in France to pursue their careers, working alongside renowned artists, while forging bonds through music. Around twenty renowned French musicians are involved in the project, as well as musicians from Ukraine, Russia, Egypt, Syria, Cuba, Haiti, and other countries. Accompanying the concert, founder Hélène Daccord will give a presentation entitled "Musique et diplomatie culturelle : une tierce voie ?" (Music and cultural diplomacy: a third way?).
