Eligibility Criteria for the AI Ethics Fellowship

This fellowship is designed for early-career professionals aged 24–35 from diverse sectors:

Masterclass

Eligible backgrounds include:

  • Academia (Master’s, PhD, postdoctoral researchers)
  • Government and public sector institutions
  • Private sector (AI, tech, ethics, compliance, innovation)
  • Civil society and interfaith organisations
GEF AI track

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Active engagement in AI ethics, governance, or responsible innovation
  • Ability to develop a research, policy, or applied project
  • Interest in intercultural or interfaith dialogue

No religious affiliation is required.

What does the AI Governance Fellowship (Phase I) include?

  • Accommodation during the Geneva residency (6–10 July 2026)
  • Programme fees and training costs covered

  • Mentoring from experts in AI ethics and interfaith governance

Phase II (Optional – selection-based)

Five top-performing fellows will receive:

  • Seed funding for implementation of their project

  • Exposure to donors, partners, and high-level experts
