AI as a Global Common Good: What Do Religious and Industry Leaders Think?
In collaboration with the Muslim Council of Elders, Globethics is hosting a session at AI for Good 2026.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in societies, economies, and systems of governance, questions of ethics, human dignity, accountability, and trust are taking on renewed importance. This session brings together representatives from major faith traditions, industry leaders, and emerging voices in AI governance to explore how diverse ethical perspectives can contribute to the responsible development and deployment of AI.
Through a dialogue spanning faith, technology, and public policy, participants will examine areas of convergence and debate on issues such as human agency, transparency, truthfulness, inclusion, and accountability in AI systems. The discussion will highlight how values-based approaches can help inform AI governance frameworks, strengthen public trust, and ensure that technological progress remains aligned with human well-being.
By fostering interfaith and cross-sector engagement, the session aims to identify shared principles and practical insights that can support a more inclusive, ethical, and human-centred future for AI.
